How We Met Each Other

We are both Michigan natives. All these years we have actually been close to each other. Mitch grew up in Marysville, which is only a short 20 minute drive from Marine City where I grew up.

Our story began when a good friend, Michelle, wanted to introduce us. We both were hesitant. Then, she tricked us into meeting each other. Michelle invited me to go to the gym with her followed by a girl's night at her house. However, Michelle had actually invited a few other friends over that night; one of which was Mitch.

After some time passed, Mitch asked me to get "coffee" (even though neither of us drink coffee). From that moment, the communication has never stopped. We texted each other from that moment until our date Saturday.

Getting coffee lasted 7.5 hours. Until then, I wasn't sure if it was an actual date. The entire time I was texting my friends telling them how hungry I was and I didn't know if we were going to eat or not. That's when they suggested to Mitch to get some food. Coffee did turn out to be our first date; our first date was on December 6th. We didn't realize that the coffee shop had actually closed while we were sitting there talking. At the beginning of the date, Mitch texted me that he was at the coffee shop and had a table. I, being the kind person I am, texted him back and said "Huh?" I wish I could have seen the panic on his face. That is the only way that our first date could have been better.
